The Consulate General of India in Dubai is pleased to announce the inauguration of the Study in India Pavilion at the Global Education & Training Exhibition (GETEX) held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 26th to 28th April 2023. The India Pavilion has been organized by the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) with the support of the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, under the Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme.

The Consul General of India to Dubai, Dr Aman Puri, inaugurated the India Pavilion at GETEX 2023. Speaking at the occasion, he highlighted the increasing number of Indian institutions that are expanding their global footprint and acknowledged that India has become a one-stop destination for technologies like data science and cybersecurity. The Study in India Pavilion is a reflection of India's commitment to becoming a global education hub and attracting international students to pursue higher education opportunities in the country.

The Study in India Pavilion at GETEX features over 30 universities and Edtech stakeholders from Indian higher education, showcasing their academic programs and research capabilities. Major exhibitors in the pavilion include Tata Institute of Social Sciences, SRM university,Birla Institute of Technology, and many others.

SEPC has partnered with EdCIL (India) Limited, a public sector undertaking in India under the Ministry of Education, to set up the India Pavilion at GETEX. EdCIL offers management and consultancy services in all areas of education and human resource development, both within India and overseas. Through their flagship portal https://studyinindia.gov.in, EdCIL seeks to promote India as a prime education hub for international students by inviting them to pursue higher education in the country.

The Global Education & Training Exhibition (GETEX) has been the leading education fair in the region for over 30 years. Every year, the Exhibition attracts over 25,000 local and expatriate students who are actively seeking higher education, professional development, and training options. The Study in India Pavilion at GETEX provides a unique opportunity for Indian universities to meet with prospective international students and showcase the quality and diversity of higher education in India.
