Sanskrit Classes at the Consulate

To observe “World Hindi Day” and activities related to promotion of Hindi and propagation, popularization and development of Sanskrit language in foreign countries, Consulate General of India, Dubai proposes to conduct Sanskrit classes – Sanskrit Sanbhashana Shibiram, Balakendram, Saptahik Melanam, Patralaya Preeksha Abhyasam – in the Consulate premises.

The course will be open to everyone including children from grade 1. The information may also be disseminated among your friends/community who intends to join. Classes are free of cost.

The first batch of 10-days (20hrs) Spoken Sanskrit classes “Sanskrit Sambhashana Shibiram” was successfully completed on 12th February 2016 and the classes had a participation of 60 members during the entire classes. A valedictory function was organized on the closing day, 12th February 2016, students expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Consulate through their excellent performances of skit & songs in Sanskrit language.

In continuation with 10 days Spoken Sanskrit classes and follow up classes, Sanskrit Mnathan – a lecture and an interactive session in Sanskrit was organized at the Consulate auditorium on 10th April 2016 by Shri Chamu Krishna Shastri, General Secretary of Samskrita Bharti. Students of Sanskrit Sambhashana Shibiram were awarded with participation certificates by Mr. Chamu Krishna Shastri and Mrs.Sumathi Vasudev, Consul (Culture).
