ADVISORY ON REPATRIATION OF MORTAL REMAIN
In continuation of the advisory issued in November 2024 on repatriation of mortal remain, the Consulate reiterates the diaspora to be aware of fraudulent agents who charge exorbitant amount in place of approved rates for various services.
The Consulate extends assistance through its panel of community associations under ICWF for repatriation of mortal remain strictly on means tested basis in accordance with the Government of India guidelines where the deceased does not have any employer/sponsor or insurance policy does not cover the cost of repatriation of mortal remain. In such cases, family does not require to incur any expenditure.
It may also be noted that under Article 15 (3), Federal Decree Law No. (33) of 2021 of UAE ‘the employer shall bear all the costs of preparing and transporting the corpse of the deceased worker to his home country or place of residence, if the family so requests’.
Members of the Indian diaspora are urged to rely only on official information of Consulate General of India, Dubai & Northern Emirates. Families of the deceased can visit https://www.cgidubai.gov.in/content/Assistance-Procedure.docx_1.pdf or contact Consulate at these following 24x7 Helpline Numbers for further guidance:

In view of the ongoing regional situation and temporary airspace restrictions, the following advisory is issued for the information and guidance of Indian nationals currently in the UAE.

Due to the regional situation and restricted airspace, scheduled commercial flights are currently not operating. However, certain airlines are operating non-scheduled commercial flights to repatriate passengers stranded in Dubai.
Details of available flights from the UAE to India can be accessed at:

Various airlines are operating non-scheduled commercial flights, including chartered services. Passengers wishing to explore these options are advised to verify availability directly through the official websites of the respective airlines.
