Since 1st September 2024, the Consulate General of India in Dubai has been operating Facilitation Centres at the Consulate and Al Awir to assist Indian citizens in availing themselves of the benefits of the ongoing UAE Visa Amnesty initiative.

2. In collaboration with various Indian diaspora organizations, the Consulate has facilitated more than 10,000 service seekers. It has issued over 1300 passports, 1700 emergency certificates, and has helped with the issuance of more than 1500 exit permits. Other service seekers have been facilitated in obtaining fee/penalty waivers from the UAE authorities.

3. The Consulate urges Indian citizens in Dubai and the Northern Emirates to take advantage of the visa amnesty program to legalize their stay or leave the country. It also urges Indians traveling  to UAE to follow proper procedures established by the local authorities for entry, work and residence.
