Mountaineering Visa
Mountaineering Visa:
● Applicants desiring to visit India for mountaineering / climbing mountain peaks, have to obtain permission for such expeditions from the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF), C/o Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, New Delhi which coordinates all expeditions in the Himalayas.
● Applications/Requests (in triplicate) for such expeditions should be addressed to Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India and should be submitted at the Embassy at least four months in advance with full details of the expedition. Visas are issued after authorization/approval from the concerned authorities in India.
● Additional documents may be asked for in certain cases.
