Marital Counseling

NRIs living in the UAE mostly comprise of nuclear families. Without the emotional support of the joint family system, due to trauma associated with relocating to a new country, job related issues etc, people are becoming stressed out and this is starting to extract a heavy toll on marital relationships.

With increase in the number of couples with marital issues approaching the Consulate for help, a need was felt to start family counseling sessions at the Consulate in addition to the already existing facilities for psychological, financial and legal counseling at the PBSK. In addition to this, Ministry of Women & Child Development, Govt. of India has constituted an integrated Nodal Agency (INA) to provide a timely solution through a single window system to the problems of aggrieved women deserted by their NRI spouses due to domestic violence or any other fraudulent behavior. The aggrieved women may also file/send their petition/complaint with all documents to the Integrated Nodal Agency (INA), whose coordinates are as below:
