Persons travelling to India for purpose other than tourism, social visits or business
  • Properly filled up online application form with signature of the applicant – (www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa)
  • 2 recent Passport size photos (51mm x 51mm) not older than Three months, no uniform, with white background with DARK DRESS and frontal view. Eyebrows should be visible. Ears, forehead chin to be completely visible In case of locals wearing qandoura the background should be in light blue. Clarity of the photo is very important - Edited, blurred or unclear photos should not be accepted.
  • Original passport with photocopy of current and old passportswith valid UAE residence visa page
  • Documentary evidence for Entry Visa.

Please ensure the following while submitting your Indian visa application.

  • 6 months validity should be there in the passport
  • Minimum 2 blank pages in the passport
  • GCC nationals must provide a copy of a valid photo ID issued from UAE
  • UAE residents with Abu Dhabi or Al-Ain issued visa residing in Dubai/Northern Emirates must 
    provide a copy of residency proof in their name (Tenancy contract, Electricity bill )
  • The validity of the visa is effective from the date of issue. 
  • The Embassy/Consulate reserves the right to ask for additional documents. 
  • Submission of application along with prescribed fee does not guarantee issuance of visa.
  • Applicants are requested NOT to finalize their travel plans before their applications have been accepted by the Indian Visa Application Centre for issuing the required visa. 

Other Information

  • A person of Indian origin and holding renounced Indian passport copy and surrender certificate copy can apply for entry visa for self.
  • Person of Indian origin, his/her spouse and dependent children may be granted entry visa subject to their producing proof of the PIO status, marriage certificate (in respect of spouse) or birth certificate (in respect of the children).
  • Foreign national married to an Indian (holding Indian passport) or spouse of an OCI/PIO cardholder and dependent children may be granted Entry visa subject to production of necessary proof.
  • Seamen who will be inspecting/visiting a vessel in India.
  • Foreign nationals going to India for training (Educational or Athletic) purpose.
  • For Sports/tournament from UAE school/college can be accepted for Entry Visa. Invitation from school/college from India, NOC from UAE school/college and NOC from parents if applicant is minor.
  • For Sports/tournament from Non School & Non College Invitation from the organization conducting the tournament/ event, MHA Clearance, MEA Clearance, Approval of Ministry of Sports are required. Prior approval is required from CGI Dubai.
