Last date for conversion of PIO to OCI

Government of India has fixed the deadline for conversion of PIO cards into OCI cards as December 31, 2017. It has also been decided that no further extension of this deadline for the conversion will be approved. It is, therefore, requested that all PIO cardholders may convert their cards to OCI at the earliest and in any case before December 31, 2017.
- Any request for conversion of PIO card to OCI card after the expiry of the current deadline of December 31, 2017 will attract a fee of USD 275 which is same as charged for issuance of fresh OCI card.
