PM’s visit to UAE on Feb 10-11, 2018 (Dubai leg)

Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi visited UAE on 10-11 Feb 2018. This was his second visit to UAE, the first one being in the year 2015. During the visit, several bilateral engagements took place with UAE leadership. PM met with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Feb 10, 2018. A number of bilateral agreements and MoUs were signed during the visit. A joint statement from Indian and UAE side was also issued during the visit.
         
 In the Dubai leg, on Feb 11, 2018, PM Modi met with Prime Minister and Vice President of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.  PM addressed the Indian Community in the morning of February 11 in Dubai Opera where he also witnessed the Shila Poojan ceremony of the Temple proposed to be built in Abu Dhabi.  The programme was organized by the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi and Consulate General of India Dubai in association with BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.  PM also addressed leading businessmen and CEOs of GCC countries. During the address, a CII delegation comprising of leading Indian CEOs was also present. 

PM addressed the World Government Summit at 1300 Hrs on Feb 11 in the presence of Ruler of Dubai and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, members of UAE Supreme Council, Heads of States, diplomatic corps and leaders from Arab World and public at large.  More than 4000 people were present during PM’s address.  India participated in the World Government Summit as a Guest of Honour country. PM also saw a painting exhibition on founding father of UAE Sheikh Zayed and also visited the Museum of Future and Edge of the Government guided by UAE’s Minister for Artificial Intelligence.

Prime Minister also had bilateral meeting with PM of Kyrgyzstan and France on the margins of the World Government Summit.
