Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Manohar Lal Khattar is paying a visit to Dubai from December 5-7, 2017 with the primary aim of showcasing investment opportunities available in the State in various sectors. A high-level delegation including the Minister of Industries of Haryana as well as senior officials is accompanying the Chief Minister on the visit. The visit of Chief Minister has come in the context of the Joint Statement issued by the two sides after the meeting of Prime Minister Modi and H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi in January 2017.

On the first day of his visit, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar met the Indian community in a function organized by the Consulate. He highlighted the initiatives taken by the State for ease of doing business as well as for e-governance. He was felicitated by various community leaders during the function. Chief Minister engaged in an interactive session with the community and answered various queries related to business and developmental initiatives of the State.

On the second day of his visit on December 6, Chief Minister held meetings with a number of leading businessmen and entities of UAE inviting them to invest in the state. He also addressed a roadshow organized by Business Leaders Forum on investment opportunities in the State. The presentations during this event highlighted immediate investment opportunities of more than $25 billion in Haryana in projects such as the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, Global City in Gurugram, Integrated Multi Model Logistic Hub in Narnaul, new metro lines and Integrated Aviation Hub in Hisar. The opportunities available in the education and health sectors were also highlighted. Chief Minister also visited the facilities of Sharaf Group in Jebel Ali Free Zone. The Sharaf Group has made substantial investments in India and committed further large investments in food processing sector during the World Food Summit held in New Delhi in first week of November 2017. The Chief Minister also interacted with some Indian workers in a labour camp in Jebel Ali Industrial Zone.

Chief Minister will conclude his visit on December 7 after holding meetings with more businessmen and entities from UAE who are interested in making investments in India.
